TTA/MKA/MTA/PNA BRUNINGHAUS SPRINGS 4MM – SM36D
This whitemetal casting is designed to convert the leaf springs to Bruninghaus springs on the underframe of the Bachmann TTA/MKA/MTA/PNA family of wagons. The casting will convert one wagon.
The casting contains lead, so observe the appropriate hygiene precautions. After handling the casting, do not eat or handle food without first washing hands
Remove the existing springs by a method of your choosing. Ensure that all remnants are removed, especially above the axle box, as this will allow the replacement spring to seat properly. The centrifugal casting process is subject to slight variation in shrinkage. Therefore it will be necessary to trim the springs to suit the position.
Please note that it is possible improve the appearance of the Bachmann underframe further by using the replacement brake levers available from Stenson Models item SM16D.
